Unconscious Bias and Taboo: Listening to the unsaid (Gen3)

Description
Taboos are things we don't do, talk about or even allow ourselves to think. Sometimes we have to talk about taboo subjects, in which case we use euphemisms and other means of avoidance. Human bodies, bodily fluids, functions, noises and smells are taboo in most contexts and taboo breaches can cause embarrassment. Terminal illness is a taboo in itself, and there are many taboos around physical, emotional and cognitive changes in people with MND. This module aims to create awareness of the concept of unconscious bias and taboo, how they are connected and how best to deal with them.
Note: This module contains strong language and covers topics such as sexuality and death in a way that some people may find offensive.
